2007-06-01 — Dave BathIf you have one or more favorite posts within this blog, feel free to note them here (with a link to the page), and maybe a short note as to what you like about it.
Here are some of my personal favorites:
- Pell’s QuadRant essay is sooooo wrong pulls apart Pell’s essay on Constantine and his justification of radical theocracies.
- The First Literature, The Must-Read: Gilgamesh reviews the Gilgamesh epic and includes a very short version of the poem.
- Parliamentary submissions page - a list of parliamentary submissions I’ve made (and perhaps you too) and related posts.
- Unrecognized allies - a new way of looking at alliances and wedges across religious and economic lines {Missing Link Mention}
- Oz Econometrics 101 - shows Australia is in poor economic shape, despite Liberal Party propaganda
- If only Castro had run the world, not just Cuba - Compares sustainability (GHA/HDI) of Cuba, Europe, Australia and the US.
- Would tabloids promote (some) religious dress codes - a satirical take on tabloids and a religious dress code that enforces nudism. The release of this got stuffed up on the day, and I think it’s a good little post.
- Dawkins v God (1) - a review of what Dawkins should have said
- Easter Reflection - The ironies of errors in the Abrahamist religious traditions
- Environment and nationalization - an argument that energy/water needs to be nationalized as only governments have an interest in reducing demand.
- What to do when the chips are down? - a discussion about cyberwarfare, especially Australia’s vulnerabilities.
- An Anzac Address I’d Like To Hear - There’s more chance of hearing this from a kiwi PM than an OZstrich. {Missing Link Mention}
